Charvel built the Pro-Mod DK24 HSH 2PT CM around one idea: nothing should get between you and the upper frets. The mahogany Dinkyu00ae body wears a scalloped lower back bout and a shredder’s cut heel, so barre chords and legato runs alike stay within easy reach. Bolted to it is a caramelized maple “speed” neck, graphite-reinforced for stability and finished in hand-rubbed satin urethane on the back for a fast, low-friction feel. A heel-mount truss rod wheel lets you dial in relief without pulling the neck, and Luminlayu00ae side dots keep you oriented on a dim stage.
The 12″-16″ compound radius caramelized maple fingerboard carries 24 jumbo frets, pearloid dots, rolled edges and a Graph Techu00ae TUSQu00ae XL nut – a setup that favors both open chords low on the neck and bends way up high.
Tonally, this HSH layout pairs a custom Seymour Duncanu00ae Full Shredu2122 TB-10 bridge humbucker with a Custom Flat Stratu00ae SSL-6 single-coil in the middle and an Alnico II Prou2122 APH-1N humbucker at the neck. Expect tight, scooped-mid aggression from the bridge, spanky Strat character from the middle coil, and creamy, sustain-rich warmth from the neck pickup.
Control-wise, you get a five-way blade switch, a 500K EVHu00ae Bournsu00ae low-friction volume pot, a no-load tone control, and Stratocasteru00ae-style skirt knobs. A Gotohu00ae Custom 510 tremolo and Charvel locking tuners round out the hardware, finished here in Natural with gold accents.
