Description
The G6196T Country Club brings the classic Gretsch hollowbody formula to left-handed players, wrapped in a striking Cadillac Green finish. Its single-cutaway body pairs a solid spruce top with laminated maple back and sides, braced with parallel tone bars and vented by oversized, single-bound f-holes for that airy, resonant hollowbody voice.
A three-piece maple neck carries a bound ebony fingerboard inlaid with Neo-Classic thumbnail markers, running smoothly across a 12″ radius up to 21 frets plus a zero fret. Multiple bindings on the body, neck, and headstock give the whole instrument a refined, old-world look, topped off with a gold plexi pickguard and pearl Gretsch logo.
Tonally, dual High Sensitive Filter’Tron pickups deliver the chiming, articulate character Gretsch is known for, controlled via a three-position pickup toggle, independent volume controls, a master volume, and a three-position master tone switch for dialing in everything from bright twang to warmer roll-off. A standby switch rounds out the electronics.
Hardware is entirely gold-plated, including Grover Imperial die-cast tuners and an ebony-based Space Control roller bridge. A Bigsby B6G vibrato tailpiece with a flat handle and Gretsch logo cover adds pitch-bending vibrato and sustain for that signature rockabilly wobble.
