The G2622 Streamliner Center Block takes the classic Gretsch semi-hollow formula and tunes it for players who need stage-ready output without sacrificing that vintage character. A lightweight spruce block runs through the body’s core, stiffening the top and choking off the squeal that usually comes with pushing a hollow-bodied guitar loud.
Doing the heavy lifting tonally are a pair of Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers, purpose-built for this collection. Expect punchy low end, clear top-end sparkle, and a midrange with some grit to it — voiced for rock, but versatile enough to clean up when you back off the volume knob. Controls stay straightforward: individual volume knobs for neck and bridge pickups, a master volume, master tone, and a three-way switch for quick pickup changes.
Playability comes from a thin “U”-profile nato neck topped with a 12″ radius laurel fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and pearloid Big Block inlays — quick under the fingers whether you’re working through chord shapes or leaning into faster runs. A synthetic bone nut, Adjusto-Matic bridge, and Gretsch V-Stoptail tailpiece keep tuning locked in and add to the guitar’s visual presence.
Style-wise, this one checks every Gretsch box: arched laminated maple top and back, aged white body and neck binding with upgraded purfling, enlarged F-holes, nickel hardware, vintage-style black knobs, and a three-ply tortoise pickguard — all finished in the eye-catching Phantom Metallic.
