Description
The G2622 Streamliner Center Block takes Gretsch’s vintage semi-hollow formula and reinforces it for players who need more headroom without losing that hollow-body character. A spruce center block runs through the laminated maple body, tightening up the low end and keeping feedback in check when you push the volume on a loud stage.
- Broad’Tron BT-2S humbucking pickups deliver high output with tighter bass, clear top end, and a growling midrange – punchier and more focused than a traditional filtertron-style tone
- Laminated maple top and back with a double-cutaway silhouette, aged white body binding, and B/AW/B purfling for that classic Gretsch look
- Nato neck with a thin “U” profile, 12″ radius laurel fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and pearloid Big Block inlays for fast, comfortable playing across the neck
- Traditional Gretsch control layout – individual volume controls for neck and bridge pickups, master volume, master tone, and three-way pickup selection
- Gretsch V-Stoptail tailpiece paired with an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and synthetic bone nut for solid tuning stability
- Enlarged F-holes for extra acoustic projection, three-ply tortoise pickguard, nickel hardware, and vintage-style black control knobs
Finished in Walnut Stain, this Streamliner keeps every visual cue that makes a Gretsch instantly recognizable while addressing the practical concerns of gigging players – namely feedback, low-end mud, and tuning drift. It’s a semi-hollow built to actually be played loud, not just admired.
