The Telecaster earned its reputation the honest way: a simple, sturdy design that just sounds right. Squier’s Classic Vibe ’50s Telecaster brings that formula back with a pine body finished in Butterscotch Blonde and a vintage-tinted gloss maple neck carved in a comfortable Modern “C” profile. Twenty-one medium-jumbo frets and a 9.5″ fingerboard radius make it easy to bend and solo across the neck, while black dot inlays and a gold Squier logo keep the look period-correct.
What separates this model from its Vintage Blonde sibling is the pickup set: custom alnico 5 single-coils in the neck and bridge deliver the warmth and snap Teles are known for, with enough clarity to move between country twang, blues, rock, and jazz tones using just the 3-way blade switch and master volume/tone controls. Vintage-style tuners, a 3-saddle bridge with brass barrel saddles, and a synthetic bone nut round out the hardware, all finished in chrome.
Bundled with the guitar is TC Electronic’s PolyTune 2, the pedal that changed how guitarists tune. Strum all six strings at once and its polyphonic display shows every string’s pitch simultaneously, or switch to the ultra-precise 0.1-cent chromatic strobe mode for fine-tuning one string at a time. The bigger, brighter LED matrix auto-adjusts to ambient light, true bypass keeps your tone untouched, and a DC output lets it power another pedal on your board.
