Description
The SLATXMG3-6 carries forward Jackson’s signature Soloist shape with a mahogany body and a true neck-through-body build, a construction method usually found on far pricier guitars. That three-piece maple neck runs straight into the body for maximum sustain, and graphite reinforcement rods on either side of the truss rod keep things rock-solid even under aggressive playing or drop tunings.
Up top, a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard (12″-16″) shifts from a rounder feel near the nut for comfortable chording to a flatter profile near the heel for effortless bends and lead work. Piranha Pearloid inlays mark the 24 jumbo frets, and the Speed Neck profile keeps the whole thing fast under your hand.
Tone comes from an EMG 81 in the bridge paired with an EMG 85 in the neck — an active pickup combo built for tight, articulate distortion and thick, singing leads, switchable via a 3-position toggle. A recessed Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo handles pitch dives and returns to pitch reliably, locked in by the R3 locking nut.
Finished in Snow White with black neck and headstock binding, this is a guitar built for players who live in high-gain territory but still want the neck-through feel and playability of a much more expensive instrument.
