The SL2 Pro Series Soloist is Jackson’s flagship shred platform, built neck-through for maximum sustain and a slim, fast-playing profile. The alder body pairs with a 3-piece maple neck reinforced with graphite rods and finished in hand-rubbed oil, giving it a smooth, satin feel with no sticky lacquer to slow you down. The Quicksilver gloss finish on the body contrasts nicely with the white binding on the neck and headstock.
Underneath your fingers sits an ebony fingerboard with a compound radius that runs 12″ at the nut up to 16″ by the heel. That means comfortable chording in the lower positions and effortless bending and shredding up top, all across 24 jumbo frets marked with alumiloid piranha inlays. The dual-action truss rod keeps everything adjustable and stable over time.
Tone comes from a direct-mount Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 in the bridge and a ’59 SH-1N in the neck, both HH humbuckers wired to a simple master volume, master tone, and 3-way toggle setup. Flip between neck, both, or bridge depending on whether you need warmth or bite. A Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, mounted with an R3 locking nut, lets you dive bomb and pull up without losing tuning stability, while sealed die-cast Jackson tuners keep things locked in at the headstock.
