Adrian Smith’s signature SDX takes the classic Jackson San Dimas shape and loads it with modern playability. The basswood body wears a gloss Snow White finish, paired here with a bolt-on maple neck and matching maple fingerboard for a bright, snappy attack that cuts through a mix. A compound-radius board (12″ to 16″) makes open chords comfortable up top while keeping bends effortless further up the neck, and the 22 jumbo frets give plenty of room to dig in.
Under the hood, the HSS pickup array pairs a high-output Jackson humbucker at the bridge with noiseless Jackson single-coils in the middle and neck positions — so you get the punch needed for riffing alongside cleaner, quieter tones for lead work. A 5-way blade switch puts all the classic pickup combinations at your fingertips, from full humbucker crunch to glassy single-coil sparkle.
For divebombs and pitch tricks, the Floyd Rose Special double-locking 2-point tremolo stays locked in tune, backed by Jackson’s own die-cast tuners. Black hardware throughout keeps the look sharp against the white body and matching white pickguard.
