Description
The JS1X Minion takes the Dinky shape everyone knows from Jackson’s shred lineage and shrinks the scale length down to 22.5″, making it a fast, comfortable option for players with smaller hands or anyone who wants a travel-friendly rock machine. Don’t mistake the compact size for a toy, though – this is a fully-loaded metal guitar underneath the Pavo Purple gloss finish.
A poplar body pairs with a bolt-on maple neck that’s reinforced with graphite rods, keeping things stable and stiff even with aggressive playing. The 12″ radius amaranth fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, and the neck’s satin finish lets your hand glide without any tacky resistance. Jackson sculpted the heel for unobstructed access to the upper register, and angled the headstock back to keep string tension even across the nut – both details that reduce fatigue during long practice sessions.
Tone comes from a pair of Jackson high-output humbuckers wired to a 3-way blade switch, giving you bridge, combined, or neck pickup settings from a single volume/tone control layout. Everything anchors through a string-through-body hardtail bridge with block saddles, adding sustain and tuning stability, while black hardware throughout – including the sealed die-cast tuners – ties the whole look together.
