Description
The JS22-7 Dinky brings 7-string firepower to the JS Series lineup, pairing an arched basswood body with a bolt-on maple neck for a lightweight feel that still holds up under heavy playing. The extended 26.5″ scale length keeps the added low B string taut and in tune, while the 24 jumbo frets and 16″ fingerboard radius make bends and fast runs feel natural rather than cramped.
A pair of Jackson’s high-output humbuckers anchor the tone, voiced to push into overdrive with plenty of sustain without losing clarity in the mix. Master volume and tone controls keep things simple, and a 3-position blade switch lets you flip between bridge, combined, and neck pickup settings on the fly.
Rather than a traditional tremolo, this Dinky uses Jackson’s HT7 hardtail bridge with strings-through-body construction, delivering rock-solid tuning stability and a tight, punchy low end that suits drop tunings and modern riffing. The rosewood fingerboard is dressed with Jackson’s signature piranha tooth inlays, and a recessed neck joint (no neck plate) improves upper-fret access.
