The B8MG is Jackson’s answer to players who need extra range without sacrificing the playability and stability the USA Select line is known for. Built around a beveled alder body, it’s fitted with a bolt-on quartersawn maple neck reinforced with graphite for rock-solid tuning stability even under heavy string tension. The 27″ scale length gives the low strings the tension they need to stay tight and articulate, while the ebony fingerboard’s compound radius (12″-16″) makes chords comfortable up top and bends effortless higher up the 24 jumbo frets.
Direct-mounted EMG 808 active humbuckers handle the tonal duties, delivering the punch and clarity these pickups are known for on extended-range instruments — ideal for anything from tight rhythmic riffing to searing leads. A 3-way toggle lets you flip between bridge, both, or neck, with simple master volume and tone controls keeping things straightforward on stage.
Hardware is all business: a Jackson HT-8 hard-tail bridge with strings-through-body construction adds sustain and mass, Jackson-branded Gotoh tuners keep things locked in, and Dunlop locking strap pins mean the guitar stays put during aggressive playing.
