Squier’s Bullet Stratocaster HSS Hardtail takes the iconic Strat shape and simplifies it for players just starting out, without cutting corners on tone or feel. A slim “C”-shaped maple neck keeps things comfortable in your hand, especially helpful if you’ve got smaller hands or are still building calluses, while the 9.5″ radius laurel fingerboard and medium jumbo frets make chords and bends feel natural early on.
The HSS pickup layout pairs a humbucker in the bridge with two single-coil Strat pickups in the middle and neck, wired through a five-way blade switch. That means you get the growl and sustain of a humbucker for riffs and leads alongside the glassy, chiming quality Strats are known for — a genuinely versatile setup for rock, blues, pop, or whatever you’re working on. The hardtail bridge, with strings running through the body, trades a vibrato arm for extra tuning stability, and the standard die-cast tuners help keep things in check between practice sessions.
Underneath it all is a basswood body finished in gloss black polyurethane, with a synthetic bone nut and white pearloid dot inlays adding classic Fender styling.
