Description
The Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar brings back the quirky charm of Fender’s original surf-era icon, dressed in classic Three-Color Sunburst over a basswood body. It keeps everything that made the Jaguar odd and wonderful in the first place: the short 24″ scale for a slinky feel, dual-circuit switching that lets you flip between rhythm and lead setups on the fly, and that floating, non-locking vibrato bridge for shimmering, vintage-style pitch bends.
Under the hood, Duncan Designed JG-101B and JG-101N single-coils (S/S configuration) deliver the bright, glassy bite this body style is known for, wired through a control layout built for tone-shaping on the fly — circuit selector switch, separate volume and tone for both rhythm and lead circuits, individual pickup on/off switches, and a dedicated tone circuit switch. Skirted black knobs handle the lead circuit while black disc knobs cover rhythm duties, all finished in chrome hardware for a period-correct look.
The maple neck wears a gloss polyurethane finish with vintage tint, shaped in a comfortable “C” profile and topped with a 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard. Medium jumbo frets and parchment dot inlays keep the vibe authentic, while a 1.650″ nut width and four-bolt neck plate round out the build.
