Description
The Session Custom ’59 is built to move fluidly between blues, country twang, and alternative rock without missing a beat. Underneath that Limited Edition Coral Blue high-gloss finish sits a Canadian Laurentian basswood body paired with a rock maple neck and maple fingerboard, giving the guitar a bright, articulate foundation with plenty of sustain.
Pickup duties are split between a Seymour Duncan ’59 humbucker in the neck for warm, creamy leads and Godin’s own ‘Custom Cajun’ single-coil in the bridge, which brings vintage snap and bite. A 5-way switch plus single volume and tone controls keep things simple at the fingertips, while 5-ply pearloid and tortoise shell pickguards add a classic visual touch to the single-cutaway body.
What really sets this guitar apart is the electronics package:
- H.D.R. (High-Definition Revoicer): A push of a button switches each pickup between passive and active voicing, effectively doubling your tonal palette to 5 passive and 5 active tones from the same set of pickups.
- Tru-Loc Tremolo: An Allen-key adjustment lets you lock the trem arm into your own preferred resting position, a personal Custom Comfort Zone, without sacrificing smooth, full-range whammy travel.
Other specs include a 25 1/2″ scale length, 12″ fingerboard radius, and 1 11/16″ nut width – a familiar, comfortable feel for players coming from other bolt-on or set-neck designs. This listing includes the guitar in its VBGSE gig bag, ready to head straight to your next session.
