Description
The Wolfgang Special Stealth strips things down to an all-black finish while keeping every performance feature that made the Wolfgang line a go-to for players who need speed, stability, and tuning security. Built at EVH’s Mexico facility, it’s designed to deliver more guitar for the money without cutting corners on playability.
The arched-top basswood body keeps things light and resonant, while the bolt-on quartersawn maple neck wears a hand-rubbed urethane finish and EVH’s signature Wolfgang carve for a neck that feels fast right out of the case. The compound-radius maple fingerboard runs from 12″ at the nut to 16″ up top, with rolled edges and 22 jumbo frets that make bending and shredding equally comfortable whether you’re working the low frets or diving into the upper register.
Dual EVH Wolfgang direct-mount humbuckers cover the tonal range from thick rhythm crunch to cutting lead work, controlled by simple master volume and master tone knobs so you’re never fumbling for the right setting mid-song. The EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo, complete with EVH D-Tuna for quick low-E drops, and the Floyd Rose R2 locking nut keep tuning rock-solid through aggressive whammy abuse.
