Description
This WG Standard is the most accessible way into the Wolfgang platform, built around a basswood body with a flat top and a comfort-cut forearm contour that keeps long sessions comfortable. It’s finished in gloss Black over a shape designed with input straight from Eddie Van Halen himself.
The bolt-on maple neck wears a satin finish with graphite reinforcement for stability, paired with a compound-radius maple fingerboard (12″ to 16″) that eases chord work near the nut and opens up for bends higher on the neck. Rolled fingerboard edges and 22 jumbo frets make fast runs feel natural, while black dot inlays keep things clean and readable.
Tone comes from a pair of direct-mount EVH Wolfgang humbuckers wired to a simple master volume/master tone layout and a 3-position toggle for bridge, combined, or neck selection. For dive-bombs and pitch tricks, the EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special bridge works alongside a Floyd Rose R2 locking nut to keep tuning rock-solid.
