Description
The Player Stratocaster HSS Floyd Rose takes Fender’s most iconic shape and arms it for heavier playing. Underneath that Tidepool gloss polyester finish sits an alder body paired with a Modern “C”-shaped maple neck, giving you a familiar Strat feel with a satin-back/gloss-front neck finish that stays fast under your hand. A 12″ radius maple fingerboard and 22 medium jumbo frets (one more than vintage-style Strats) make bends, tapping, and lead runs feel natural.
Tone-wise, this is a proper HSS setup: a Player Series Alnico 2 humbucker in the bridge delivers thick, saturated output for riffing and solos, while the Alnico 5 single-coils in the middle and neck positions keep that glassy, articulate Strat voice on tap. The 5-way blade switch, master volume, and dual tone controls let you move between chunky and chime-y without missing a beat.
The centerpiece for anyone who dives hard on the whammy bar is the Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo, paired with a Floyd Rose locking nut, so aggressive vibrato work won’t knock you out of tune. Rounding out the build: a synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, sealed tuning machines, 3-ply black/white/black pickguard, parchment plastic knobs, and the four-bolt “F”-stamped neck plate that’s been a Fender signature for decades.
