Description
The Modern Player Telecaster Plus HSS breaks from Telecaster tradition by packing in three pickups instead of the usual two, giving players access to a much wider tonal palette without straying from that unmistakable Tele attitude. A Modern Player humbucker sits at the bridge for added output and grit, with a mini-toggle coil-split switch on hand to thin it out into single-coil territory when you want more bite and less bark. In the middle sits a Modern Player Stratocaster single-coil, while the neck position gets a Modern Player Tele pickup for that familiar warm, woody voice. Five-way switching ties it all together, so you’re never far from the right tone.
Built on a pine body and paired with a C-shaped maple neck, this guitar feels immediately familiar in the hand. The maple fretboard carries a 9.5″ radius and 22 jumbo frets, making bends and lead lines feel effortless across the 25.5″ scale length. A vintage-style Stratocaster hardtail bridge sends strings through the body for solid sustain and tuning stability, while vintage-style tuners and nickel/chrome hardware round out the classic look. Knurled chrome-dome knobs and a three-ply pickguard add a nice finishing touch.
