Description
The Jazzmaster shape has always attracted players who want something a little different, and the Player Series version delivers that offbeat character with real gigging reliability. Loaded with two Player Series Alnico 2 humbucking pickups, it produces a fatter, more aggressive tone than the vintage single-coil originals while retaining that scooped, woody midrange the body shape is known for. Flip the 3-way toggle and you’ve got bridge, combined, or neck voicings ready for anything from surf twang to fuzzed-out riffing.
Built on an alder body finished in gloss polyester and dressed in 3-Color Sunburst, this Jazzmaster pairs a satin-necked maple neck with a Pau Ferro fingerboard for a smooth, fast feel. The Modern “C” profile fills the hand comfortably without feeling bulky, and 22 medium jumbo frets across a 9.5″ radius board make bends and chords equally effortless. A 1.650″ synthetic bone nut and 25.5″ scale keep the playing feel familiar to anyone coming from other Fender models.
