Description
There’s a reason the Telecaster shape has barely changed in decades – it just works. The Player Telecaster keeps that same honest, no-nonsense approach while adding a few modern touches that make it easier to play across styles, from country chicken-picking to indie jangle to straight-up rock.
- Alder body finished in gloss polyester, in the iconic Butterscotch Blonde
- Maple neck with a Modern “C” profile – satin back, gloss front – for a neck that feels broken-in but still looks sharp
- Maple fingerboard, 9.5″ radius, 22 medium jumbo frets for comfortable bending and easy access up high
- Player Series Alnico 5 single-coil pickups (bridge and neck) deliver the bright, cutting Tele voice with a bit more push than vintage-style units
- 3-way blade switching: bridge alone, bridge + neck, or neck alone
- 6-saddle string-through-body bridge with bent-steel saddles for solid intonation and that signature Tele sustain
- Synthetic bone nut, sealed tuning machines, dual-wing string tree, and the 4-bolt “F”-stamped neck plate
- 3-ply parchment pickguard and knurled flat-top control knobs round out the look
- Ships with Fender USA NPS strings (.009-.042)
Whether it’s your first real electric or your tenth, the Player Telecaster is built to get plugged in and played – not babied. It handles clean twang, gritty overdrive, and everything in between without complaint, session after session, gig after gig.
