Description
The Fender Player Telecaster keeps the blueprint that made the Tele a legend while updating it for today’s player. This one arrives in Tidepool, a color that gives the alder body’s gloss polyester finish a cool, distinctive edge on stage.
Plug in and you get that unmistakable Telecaster snap. The pair of Player Series Alnico 5 single-coil pickups deliver bright, articulate tone with a bit more push than vintage-style units, so you can move from clean twang to gritty overdrive without losing definition. A 3-way blade switch lets you pull bridge, combined, or neck tones on demand, controlled by simple master volume and tone knobs.
The maple neck wears a Modern C profile, a shape built for long sessions and quick position changes alike. Its 9.5-inch radius maple fingerboard carries 22 medium jumbo frets, giving you room to bend, tap, and solo up high without running out of neck. A synthetic bone nut and dual-wing string tree keep tuning stable, while sealed tuning machines mean less fuss between sets.
Down at the bridge, six bent-steel saddles sit on a string-through-body design, a hallmark of the Telecaster’s punchy sustain and precise intonation. Small details round out the build quality: a 3-ply parchment pickguard, knurled flat-top control knobs, and the four-bolt neck plate stamped with Fender’s iconic F, marking this as an authentic, gig-ready instrument.
