Description
The Telecaster shape hasn’t needed reinventing since the early ’50s, and this Standard model shows why — it’s built for players who want that unmistakable snap and twang without fuss. Fender took the original blueprint and quietly improved it: hotter-wound Standard Tele single-coils in the neck and bridge, shielded body cavities to keep noise down, and medium jumbo frets that make bends and vibrato feel more modern under the fingers.
An alder body wears a Brown Sunburst polyester finish, paired with a 1-piece maple neck cut in a Modern C profile and topped with a tinted satin urethane finish for that lived-in look right out of the box. The maple fingerboard carries a 9.5″ radius across 21 medium jumbo frets, and the 3-ply parchment pickguard and control knobs give it a warmer, vintage-tinted appearance alongside the ’70s-style Fender logo.
Wiring is straightforward Tele: master volume, master tone, and a 3-position blade switch (bridge / bridge+neck / neck) that covers the instrument’s core tonal territory. A 6-saddle strings-through-body bridge and Fender/Ping sealed cast tuning machines keep tuning stable and sustain solid, all dressed in chrome hardware.
