Description
The Player Stratocaster HSS Plus Top takes Fender’s most iconic body shape and adds a striking flame maple top over the alder body, finished in Aged Cherry Burst. It’s built to deliver the sounds that define the Stratocaster legacy—bright top end, snappy mids, and a solid low end—while giving you the extra output and thickness of a bridge humbucker when you need to push into rock territory.
That bridge slot houses a Player Series Alnico 2 humbucker, warm and full without losing clarity, paired with Alnico 5 single-coils in the middle and neck for the crisp, glassy tones Strats are known for. The 5-way blade switch unlocks the humbucker on its own, the inner coil blended with the middle pickup, and all the familiar in-between positions guitarists rely on.
Playability comes from the Modern “C”-shaped maple neck, finished satin on the back and gloss on the front, with a 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard and a 22nd medium jumbo fret for easier reach up high. The 2-point synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles has been refined for smoother arm travel and steadier tuning, while a synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, and sealed tuning machines round out the hardware for reliable performance night after night.
