Description
The Stratocaster tone that built Fender’s reputation is alive and well here—snappy top end, growling mids, and a low end that stays tight no matter how hard you dig in. What sets this Plus Top apart is the flame maple veneer over the alder body, wrapped in an Aged Cherry Burst finish that gives it a warmer, more vintage-inspired look than a standard Player model.
Under the hood, three Player Series Alnico 5 single-coils handle the tonal duties, giving you that clear, articulate Fender voice with just enough push for modern amps and pedals. The 5-way switch covers everything from bridge twang to the glassy in-between quack players chase for funk and clean rhythm work.
The maple neck is carved in a Modern “C” profile—slim enough for fast runs, full enough to feel substantial in your hand. A 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets makes bends and legato phrasing effortless, whether you’re up at the 22nd fret or working chords down low. The updated 2-point tremolo bridge moves smoothly for expressive vibrato while holding tuning steady, thanks to reduced friction at the pivot points.
Rounding out the build: a synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, sealed tuning machines, 3-ply pickguard, and the signature 4-bolt “F”-stamped neck plate that confirms this is genuine Fender.
