Description
The Player Stratocaster HSH takes the instrument that built Fender’s reputation and adds serious tonal muscle. Two Player Series Alnico 2 humbuckers flank an Alnico 5 single-coil in the middle, giving you the warmth and output of humbucking pickups alongside the glassy, articulate quack Strats are famous for. Split the coils via the 5-way blade switch and you’ve got a huge range of tones—from thick rock crunch to snappy, chiming cleans—all from one guitar.
Build quality follows the same formula that’s made Player Series instruments a go-to choice for gigging musicians. The alder body wears a gloss polyester finish in Buttercream, paired with a Modern C-shaped maple neck that feels equally at home for chords and lead lines. Fender extended the fingerboard to 22 medium jumbo frets on a 9.5″ radius pau ferro board, opening up more room at the top end for bends and solos. A synthetic bone nut and dual-wing string tree keep things stable at the headstock, while sealed tuning machines and an updated 2-point synchronized tremolo—now with smoother post travel—deliver both expressive whammy use and dependable tuning.
Rounding out the details: a 3-ply black/white/black pickguard, parchment plastic control knobs, and the four-bolt neck plate stamped with Fender’s iconic “F”—small touches that confirm this is an authentic Fender through and through.
