There’s a reason the Jazzmaster became the go-to axe for surf rockers and shoegaze dreamers alike — its offset body, dual circuits, and floating vibrato just beg for tremolo-soaked chords and washed-out leads. This Classic Series ’60s model, finished in a proper Surf Green nitrocellulose lacquer over an alder body, brings that whole vibe back without any modern shortcuts. This particular unit is a demo, previously used for in-store display or testing, and comes with a free hardshell case.
The maple neck wears a comfortable “C” profile and a 7.25″ radius pau ferro fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets and classic white dot inlays — the kind of feel that made these guitars a favorite long before anyone called it “vintage.” Under the 3-ply white/black/white pickguard sit a pair of American Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster single-coils, wired through the model’s signature dual-circuit setup: a 3-position toggle for pickup selection alongside a separate 2-position switch that flips between Lead and Rhythm circuits, each with its own volume and tone controls.
Other period-correct touches include the 6-saddle vintage-style bridge with floating tremolo tailpiece, vintage-style tuning machines, a synthetic bone nut, and black plastic hardware throughout. It ships strung with Fender USA NPS strings (.010-.046).
