Description
The Fender Road Worn ’50s Stratocaster takes the original blueprint from the guitar’s birth decade and adds decades of imaginary mileage right out of the case. Under a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, the alder body and 1-piece maple neck carry genuine wear patterns on the body, neck, and hardware, so it plays like a well-loved instrument from day one rather than something fresh off the line.
The soft V-shaped maple neck sits with a vintage-correct 7.25″ radius fingerboard and 21 narrow jumbo 6105 frets, giving that low, comfortable feel players associate with early Strats. Three Tex-Mex single-coil pickups, staggered with Alnico pole pieces under parchment covers, deliver classic Strat snap and chime, routed through the familiar 5-position blade switch and a master volume/dual tone control layout covering neck and middle/bridge combinations.
Details matter here: a synthetic bone nut, aged knobs and switch tip, and Fender/Ping vintage-style tuners all reinforce the broken-in vibe, while a vintage synchronized tremolo and chrome hardware keep the setup period-accurate. It’s strung with Fender Standard Tension ST250R nickel-plated steel strings (.010-.046).
