Description
The American Ultra Telecaster sits at the top of Fender’s domestic lineup, aimed at guitarists who won’t compromise on feel or tone. It starts with a “Modern D” neck profile, shaped for fast, fatigue-free playing, with Ultra rolled fingerboard edges that make the neck feel already broken in right out of the box. A tapered neck heel clears the way for effortless access to the upper frets, so high-register bends and solos are no longer a stretch.
Underneath your fingers is a 10″-14″ compound-radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets — flatter as you climb the neck for accurate, buzz-free soloing across the entire range. Tonally, the Ultra Noiseless Vintage pickups deliver the snap and bite Telecasters are known for, but without the 60-cycle hum that plagues traditional single-coils. Pair that with the guitar’s advanced wiring options and you get a much wider tonal palette than a standard Tele, from classic chime to fuller, rounder voices.
Comfort was clearly a design priority too: the body has sculpted rear contours that hug the player rather than dig in, making long sessions or gigs noticeably easier on the body. Finished in Ultraburst, this is a Telecaster built for players who live on stage and in the studio alike.
