Description
Built to Eric Clapton’s own specifications, this Artist Series Stratocaster is less a tribute and more a genuine tool for the tones that made him famous. The Alder body wears a Torino Red polyurethane finish, paired with a 1-piece Maple neck carved into Clapton’s preferred soft V shape — a profile that fills the hand without feeling bulky.
The electronics set this Strat apart from a standard three-single-coil layout. Three Vintage Noiseless pickups deliver classic Strat chime and quack without the 60-cycle hum, wired through a 5-position blade switch for the usual bridge/middle/neck combinations. Behind that sits the real trick: a Master TBX tone control alongside an active mid-boost circuit dialing in up to 25dB of midrange gain, letting you push this guitar from glassy and clean into thick, saturated territory that still reads as unmistakably Strat.
A blocked American Vintage synchronized tremolo keeps tuning rock-solid for players who’d rather not touch a whammy bar, while Fender/Gotoh vintage-style tuners and chrome hardware round out the build. The Maple fingerboard carries a 9.5″ radius across 22 vintage-style frets, with a 25.5″ scale and 1.650″ nut width for familiar Strat feel throughout.
