Description
Johnny Marr’s fingerprints are all over modern guitar music, from The Smiths’ shimmering arpeggios to his work with The The, Electronic, Modest Mouse and the Cribs. This signature Jaguar distills his sound into a single instrument, built to chase that unmistakable ringing, layered tone he’s known for.
- Custom-wound Bare Knuckle Johnny Marr single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions
- Custom-shaped maple neck modeled on Marr’s own 1965 Jaguar, featuring a vintage-style truss rod, lacquer finish, and his signature on the headstock
- Four-position blade switch on the lower-horn chrome plate, covering bridge alone, bridge and neck in parallel, neck alone, and bridge and neck in series
- Two upper-horn slide switches for universal bright and a dedicated bright setting on switch position four
- Jaguar bridge fitted with Mustang saddles and nylon post inserts for added stability, plus a chrome cover and vintage-style floating tremolo tailpiece
It ships in a custom case lined with blue crushed velvet, along with a strap, cable, and a set of flatwound strings. This Olympic White finish is a clean, classic option (the guitar is also offered in Metallic KO, a warm orange tone drawn from a faded Candy Apple Red ’60s Fender Marr favors). Whether you’re after chiming clean tones or something with more bite, the switching layout gives you plenty of tonal ground to cover without ever feeling fussy.
