The American Performer Mustang takes Fender’s short-scale offset and updates it for players who want vintage attitude with modern playability. Built in Corona, California from an alder body, this Mustang carries the Penny finish under gloss polyurethane, paired with a maple neck in satin urethane and a rosewood fingerboard.
- 24″ scale length keeps string tension low and bends effortless, while the “Modern C” neck profile and 9.5″ fingerboard radius make chording and lead work equally comfortable across 22 jumbo frets
- Dual Yosemite single-coil Mustang pickups deliver that scooped, jangly Mustang voice, wired through Fender’s Greasebucket tone circuit so rolling off treble doesn’t add unwanted bass
- 3-position toggle switching covers bridge, bridge+neck, and neck combinations for a wider tonal palette than the classic Mustang slide switches
- Vintage-modern Mustang bridge and tremolo unit for smooth, stable pitch bends
