Description
The American Performer Stratocaster HSS keeps everything that makes a Strat a Strat—alder body, 25.5″ scale, that unmistakable snap—while adding a bridge humbucker built for players who want more push. The DoubleTap pickup handles rock and heavier styles without abandoning the guitar’s clean, articulate character, and a push/pull pot lets you split it down to single-coil territory whenever you want the quack back.
Up front, two Yosemite single-coils in the neck and middle positions supply the sparkle and warmth Strat players chase, routed through a 5-position blade switch and a Greasebucket tone circuit on the bridge pickup that rolls off highs without piling on bass mud.
The Modern “C”-shaped maple neck is fast and comfortable, with a 9.5″ radius fingerboard, 22 jumbo frets, and a synthetic bone nut that keeps tuning stable. ClassicGear tuning machines and a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo round out the hardware, finished in nickel/chrome with a 4-bolt neck plate for a solid, resonant connection.
