Description
Fender took the blueprint that started it all and rebuilt it from the heel up. The American Elite Telecaster keeps the Tele’s unmistakable single-cutaway silhouette and 3-Tone Sunburst finish, but underneath sits a genuinely modern instrument built for players who need reliability on stage and versatility in the studio.
The alder body is bound in white and finished in gloss polyurethane, mated to a compound-profile maple neck that shifts from a comfortable modern “C” shape near the nut to a more substantial “D” shape by the redesigned, contoured neck heel — a change that noticeably improves upper-fret access. That neck carries an ebony fingerboard with a 9.5″-14″ compound radius and 22 medium jumbo frets, so chords feel comfortable low on the neck while bends and leads stay smooth up high. A heel-mounted dual-action truss rod wheel lets you dial in relief without pulling the neck.
Tone comes from two all-new 4th generation Noiseless single-coil pickups, engineered to deliver authentic vintage Fender character without the 60-cycle hum. An S-1 switch built into the volume knob toggles between series and parallel wiring on the fly, opening up tonal territory beyond the standard 3-way blade switch.
Hardware includes a 6-saddle American Tele bridge with chromed brass saddles, deluxe locking tuners with short posts for faster restringing and better tuning stability, and a 3-ply mint green pickguard for classic contrast.
