Description
The Jaguar has always been the outsider of the Fender lineup—an odd, angular shape loaded with switches and controls that never quite fit the mold, which is exactly why generations of punk, surf, and indie players adopted it as their own. The American Professional Jaguar keeps that rebellious spirit intact while quietly swapping in modern components that make it far more dependable on stage and in the studio.
At the heart of the update are the V-Mod single-coil Jaguar pickups, designed by Michael Frank to push more midrange punch and vintage grit into the signal without losing the guitar’s signature snap. A treble-bleed circuit on the volume control keeps your top end intact even as you roll the volume down, so your tone doesn’t turn muddy mid-song.
Playability gets a boost from the Modern “Deep C” neck profile carved from maple, paired with a rosewood fingerboard and narrow-tall frets that make bends and intonation easier to nail. The 24-inch scale and 9.5-inch fingerboard radius keep chording comfortable across all 22 frets. Down at the bridge, brass Mustang saddles and a screw-in tremolo arm improve tuning stability while adding a bit of extra sparkle to the sound.
Finished in a deep, glossy Candy Apple Red over an alder body, this Jaguar pairs the visual drama of the original with hardware built for today’s touring and recording demands.
