The American Professional version keeps that offbeat spirit alive while quietly upgrading nearly everything under the hood. This one arrives in Mystic Seafoam with a maple neck, ready to add its distinctive offset-body voice to whatever you throw at it.
At the heart of the tone are V-Mod Jazzmaster pickups, designed by pickup guru Michael Frank of Eric Johnson Signature Stratocaster fame. They’re overwound for extra punch while keeping that hot, vintage-flavored character intact. A treble-bleed circuit means you can roll back the volume without losing top-end sparkle, so the guitar still sounds like itself at any volume setting.
The neck wears a new “Deep C” profile, a shape that splits the difference between a Modern C and a U, giving your hand more to hold onto without feeling bulky. Narrow-tall frets make bending and fretting chords up the neck feel more precise, and a bone nut helps with tuning stability and sustain.
Fender also reworked the bridge, adding brass Mustang saddles and a screw-in tremolo arm so your strings stay put and your arm tension stays exactly where you set it.
