Fender didn’t just polish up the Telecaster formula for this one—they took it apart piece by piece and rebuilt what needed rebuilding. The American Professional Telecaster in black with a maple neck is the result: familiar in spirit, sharper in execution.

At the heart of it are Tim Shaw’s V-Mod single-coil pickups, each voiced individually for its position using a mix of alnico magnet types. You get that classic Tele bite and clarity, but with more nuance across the pickup selector. A 3-position blade switch gives you bridge, combined, or neck pickup settings, and the master volume includes a treble-bleed circuit so your top end doesn’t get muddy when you roll back the gain.
