Description
This is a demo model of the American Professional Telecaster, previously used lightly for in-store demonstration purposes. It carries all the refinements Fender introduced when reworking this staple electric guitar, finished in a timeless 3-Color Sunburst with a maple neck.
At the heart of the tone are Tim Shaw’s V-Mod single-coil pickups, each voiced individually for its position using a specific blend of alnico magnet types. The result is a mix of vintage grit and modern clarity that responds well whether you’re chording or picking single notes. A treble-bleed circuit keeps things sounding sharp even as you roll back the volume knob, so your tone doesn’t get muddy at lower settings.
The neck wears Fender’s “Deep C” profile — a shape that splits the difference between a Modern C and a U, giving your hand more to hold onto without feeling clubby. Narrow-tall frets make bending strings and nailing chord shapes up the neck noticeably easier, and a bone nut adds a touch of vintage-correct tone transfer.
Fender also redesigned the bridge for this series: three compensated brass barrel saddles improve intonation accuracy while keeping that classic Tele twang, and the redesigned ashtray-style cover tucks out of the way so palm-muting isn’t a fight.
