Description
The Stratocaster has been the reference point for electric guitar tone since 1954, and the American Professional Stratocaster carries that legacy forward without diluting it. This version pairs an ash body finished in Sienna Sunburst with a maple neck, giving players the bright, resonant snap ash is known for alongside classic Strat playability.
At the heart of the tone are three V-Mod single-coil pickups, designed by veteran pickup engineer Tim Shaw. Rather than using identical coils in each position, Shaw voiced the bridge, middle, and neck pickups individually and blended alnico magnet types to dial in warmth and clarity where each one needs it. A treble-bleed circuit on the volume control keeps your highs intact as you roll the volume down, so your tone doesn’t get muddy at lower settings.
The neck itself uses Fender’s modern "Deep C" profile, a shape that sits between a Modern C and a U, giving your hand more to grip without feeling bulky. Combined with 22 narrow-tall frets, it makes bending strings and fretting chords up the neck feel accurate and controlled. A bone nut helps tuning stability and sustain right from the headstock.
Other functional upgrades include a pop-in tremolo arm that locks into place under aggressive playing but can still be tension-adjusted to taste, and Fender’s Elite Molded hardshell case, built with contoured protection, TSA-approved latches, and a stackable shell for easier storage.
