Description
The Stratocaster has been the reference point for electric guitar tone since 1954, and countless attempts to improve on it have come and gone. The American Professional Stratocaster doesn’t reinvent the formula — it refines it, giving players the authentic Strat experience with a handful of thoughtful upgrades that make it feel current without losing what made the original great.
At the heart of this guitar are Tim Shaw’s V-Mod single-coil pickups, built using a mix of alnico magnet types tailored to each position. The result is a pickup set that delivers the classic Fender snap and chime alongside a bit more output and warmth than you’d expect from a vintage-style single-coil. A treble-bleed circuit on the volume control keeps your tone crisp and articulate even as you roll back the volume — no more losing high-end sparkle when you dial things down.
Playability gets attention too, with a new “Deep C” neck profile that splits the difference between a Modern C and a U shape, giving your hand a bit more to hold onto during long sessions. Narrow-tall frets make string bends and up-the-neck chord work feel more precise, and a bone nut helps with tuning stability and sustain. The pop-in tremolo arm stays put through aggressive playing while still allowing tension adjustments to match your preferred feel.
