The Telecaster has never needed to prove its versatility—country, rock, blues, whatever you throw at it, it delivers. The American Original ’60s Telecaster leans into the decade that gave us the double-bound body and 3-ply pickguard, wrapping that mid-60s attitude in Lake Placid Blue over double-bound alder, finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer that ages and breathes like the originals.
Under the hood are Pure Vintage ’64 single-coil pickups, built with enamel-coated coil wire, cloth-covered leads, fiber bobbins and alnico 5 magnets for that authentic period voice. The bridge pickup carries a copper shielding plate for a bit of extra bite, and staggered pole pieces keep string-to-string volume even. A 3-position blade switch gives you bridge, combined, or neck pickup selection through master volume and tone controls.
The maple neck wears a ’60s “C” profile that sits comfortably in the hand, paired with a 9.5″ radius round-laminated rosewood fingerboard and 21 vintage-tall frets over a 25.5″ scale. A bone nut, vintage-style heel-adjust truss rod, and pearloid dot inlays round out the neck details. Hardware stays true to the era too—a 3-saddle vintage-style Tele bridge with barrel steel saddles, Pure Vintage single-line Fender Deluxe tuning machines, and knurled flat-top control knobs, finished in nickel/chrome.
