Leo Fender’s refinement of the classic single-cutaway bolt-on design, the ASAT Classic pairs a boxed-steel bridge with individually adjustable brass saddles for precise intonation and that signature snap. This Tribute Series version wears a vivid Candy Apple Red finish over a Basswood body, topped with a Hard-Rock Maple neck and rosewood fingerboard for a warmer, smoother feel under the fingers.
Two Magnetic Field Design single-coil pickups, built by G&L in Fullerton, California using Leo Fender’s own design principles, give this guitar its voice. The bridge pickup cuts through with bright, articulate attack and rich overtones, while the neck pickup opens up into smooth jazz cleans or thick, growling blues tones. Blend them together on the 3-way selector for a versatile middle ground that covers a huge range of playing styles.
