Built off the same blueprint as Steve Lukather’s signature Music Man design, the Sterling LK100 pairs a basswood body under a flame maple veneer top with a roasted hard maple neck carved in a classic “V” contour. The Blueberry Burst finish gives the flame top real depth, and the rosewood fingerboard with white dot markers keeps the look clean and traditional.
Under the hood, the HH pickup configuration runs through a 5-way toggle selector, so you’re not locked into just bridge and neck tones – there’s a real spread of in-between voicings on tap. The push-push 9V active boost lets you kick in extra output on the fly without reaching for a pedal, and a single tone control keeps the layout simple. A Sterling by Music Man vintage tremolo handles pitch effects while staying stable enough for regular use.
Playability gets attention too: a 12″ fingerboard radius, 22 narrow frets, and a 1.65″ nut width make for a fast, familiar feel, backed by locking tuners and a dual-action truss rod for reliable setup and tuning stability. The neck attaches via a 5-bolt pattern for a solid connection to the body.
