Description
The Schecter S-II Platinum takes the brand’s classic S-II shape and dresses it up with premium touches while keeping the tone core aggressive and modern. A mahogany body with a flat top and beveled edges sits under a set-neck construction featuring Ultra Access, so the upper frets stay reachable even during your most ambitious solos.
The three-piece maple neck carries a Thin ‘C’ profile with an ebony fretboard, 24 X-Jumbo frets, and a 14″ radius – a combination that favors fast lead work and comfortable chording alike. Silver/Platinum multi-ply binding and Platinum ‘Tempest’ inlays give the fretboard a striking look without getting in the way of playability. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and Schecter locking tuners keep tuning stable string after string.
Tone comes from an EMG 57 in the bridge and EMG 66 in the neck, both active pickups delivering tight low end, cutting mids, and low-noise output – ideal for high-gain rock and metal tones as well as cleaner, dynamic playing. Simple Volume/Tone/3-way switch controls keep things intuitive, powered by a 9-volt battery housed in a clip-in compartment.
Hardware is finished in satin chrome, including a TonePros T3BT tune-o-matic bridge paired with a T1Z tailpiece for solid sustain and easy intonation adjustments. It ships strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings (.010-.046).
