Description
The Traditional Van Nuys takes Schecter’s classic double-cutaway shape and refines it with tonewood and hardware choices aimed squarely at players who live for aggressive, versatile tone. The swamp ash body keeps things light on the shoulder while adding an airy, resonant character to every chord and lead line, and the contoured design settles naturally against the waist for long practice or gig sessions without fatigue.
Up top, a roasted maple neck paired with a maple fingerboard delivers a fast, stable platform for shredding through scales or working through intricate chord voicings. The roasting process adds extra rigidity and a slightly vintage feel underhand, so bends and legato runs come through cleanly.
Electronics are where this guitar really shows its range: two single-coil pickups sit in the neck and middle positions, giving you glassy cleans and quacky in-between tones, while a Schecter USA SuperRock Vintage humbucker anchors the bridge for thick, high-output crunch and lead tones. That combination covers everything from spanky funk to full-throttle rock without swapping guitars.
A Diamond Vintage Tremolo bridge rounds out the build, offering smooth pitch dives and reliable sustain whether you’re adding subtle vibrato or going all-in on dramatic dive bombs. Finished in Gloss Natural Ash, the guitar shows off the swamp ash grain while keeping the overall look understated and classic.
