Description
The Schecter C-6 Plus takes the tried-and-true C-6 platform and dresses it up with a quilted maple top image under a See-Thru Cherry Burst finish, giving it visual flair to match its tonal punch. Underneath that eye-catching top sits a basswood body paired with a bolt-on maple neck, delivering the snappy attack and resonant sustain basswood is known for.
Play feel is where this guitar earns its keep. The Thin ‘C’ neck profile is fast and comfortable, measuring .787″ at the 1st fret and .866″ at the 12th, and it’s topped with a rosewood fretboard carrying 24 X-Jumbo frets and a 14″ radius. That combination of a flatter radius, tall frets, and slim neck makes bends, tapping, and rapid lead lines feel effortless, while simple 4mm dot inlays keep the look clean and unfussy. A graphite nut cut to 1.653″ width rounds out a setup built for smooth tuning stability.
Tonally, the pair of Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions is voiced for high-output rock and metal work, offering clarity in the low end and cutting midrange presence. Simple, road-ready controls – a single volume, a single tone, and a 3-way pickup selector – keep things intuitive on stage or in the studio.
Hardware is all business: a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru-body stringing for solid sustain and easy restringing, Schecter tuners for reliable pitch stability, and chrome-finished metal knurled knobs with set screws that won’t slip mid-set.
