Description
The Schecter Stiletto Studio-8 pushes bass guitar into extended-range territory, pairing an 8-string layout with the kind of build quality Schecter’s Stiletto series is known for. A neck-thru-body design with Ultra Access joint keeps the mahogany body and bubinga top resonant and stable while giving your fretting hand a clear path to the upper register across all 24 X-Jumbo frets.
- Maple/walnut multi-ply neck with a Thin ‘C’ profile, 34″ scale, and 16″ radius rosewood fretboard with abalone offset dot inlays
- Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and 2-way adjustable truss rod for precise setup
- EMG 35HZ active pickups in both bridge and neck positions, driven by master volume, blend, and 3-band EMG active EQ controls (18-volt battery compartment)
- Diamond Custom Bass bridge, Schecter tuners, and satin gold hardware throughout, finished with metal knurled knobs
- Strung with Ernie Ball Super Long strings (.032-.130)
Finished in Honey Satin and built for right-handed players, this South Korea-built instrument is aimed at bassists who want the harmonic reach of extra strings without sacrificing the punch and clarity active EMG electronics deliver. It’s a serious tool for low-end exploration, from chordal work to extended-range riffing. Note that the SGR-5SB case shown is sold separately.
