Description
The Schecter Wayne Hussey Corsair-12 brings 12-string electric guitar into gothic rock territory, built in close collaboration with The Mission frontman himself. Its arched maple body and set-neck construction give it a resonant, singing quality, while the 3-piece maple neck with ebony fretboard keeps things stable and fast under the fingers despite the extra string tension a 12-string demands.
The 24.75″ scale and thin ‘C’ neck shape make this far more playable than most 12-strings, with a 14″ fretboard radius and 22 medium frets that support both open chord shimmer and lead lines. Gold multi-ply binding and Mother of Pearl inlays in the Mission UK design add unmistakable visual flair, backed by glow-in-the-dark side dots for stage visibility. A Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut and 2-way adjustable truss rod round out the setup essentials.
Tone comes from a matched pair of Schecter Diamond Tubebucker pickups at neck and bridge, routed through 2 volume and 2 push-pull tone controls plus a 3-way switch for coil-splitting flexibility. The Diamond Adjustable-12 bridge and Grover tuners keep intonation and tuning stability in check across all 12 strings, finished off with Grip Tip speed knobs and gold hardware throughout.
