Description
Left-handed players chasing extended range don’t have many options — the Schecter Damien-8 Multiscale is one of the good ones. Built specifically for lower registers without turning to mush, its fanned-fret design runs 25.5″ on the high string out to 27.5″ on the low, giving each string more appropriate tension across the board. The mahogany body carries an arched top and bolts to a maple neck reinforced with carbon fiber rods, so the added string count and tension stay under control.
The Thin “C” neck profile keeps things playable despite the 2.205″ nut width, and a 20″ fretboard radius paired with 24 jumbo frets makes bending and fast runs feel natural rather than like a chore. Rosewood fretboard, grey pearloid bat inlays, and a graphite nut round out the neck’s details, while a Hipshot 8-string multiscale fixed bridge (left-handed specific) anchors intonation at the other end.
Electronics are handled by a matched set of Schecter Diamond Heretic pickups in the neck and bridge, wired to volume, a push-pull tone control, and a 3-way selector — enough flexibility to go from tight, articulate riffing to fuller lead tones without swapping guitars.
