Description
Eight strings means serious real estate to cover, and Schecter’s Omen Elite-8 Multiscale handles it with a fanned-fret layout running 25.5″ on the low side out to 27.5″ on the high side. That extra length under the low strings tightens up tuning stability and tone, while the shorter scale up top keeps chords and leads from feeling stretched out. The maple neck is carved into a thin “C” profile and reinforced with carbon fiber rods, so it stays straight and fast-feeling despite the wide fretboard. A 20″ radius rosewood board with 24 jumbo frets gives you plenty of room to work, and the neck joint is contoured for real access to the upper register.
Body-wise, you’re getting mahogany paired with a figured poplar burl top for a striking, grain-forward look under the See-Thru Blue Burst finish. Electronics come from a matched set of Schecter Heretic-8 humbuckers, wired to master volume, master tone, and a 5-way switch for pulling different tonal flavors out of each pickup combination. Hardware is blacked-out throughout, with Schecter tuners for keeping eight strings in check, a Graph Tech Black Tusq Abasi 8-String nut, and a Hipshot multiscale fixed bridge anchoring the fanned strings.
