Description
The Schecter Omen-7 gives extended-range players a no-nonsense platform for riffing in dropped tunings without sacrificing playability. Its basswood body keeps the tone balanced and the weight manageable, while the arched top and black 1-ply binding add a touch of visual polish to the Walnut Satin finish.
Bolted to that body is a maple neck carved in a Thin ‘C’ profile, measuring .787″ at the first fret and .866″ at the twelfth – slim enough for fast fretting hands, even with a 7th string in play. The rosewood fretboard spans a 26.5″ scale with a 16″ radius and 24 X-Jumbo frets, topped with Pearloid Semi-Goth inlays for easy visual reference during dark stage sets. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and 2-way adjustable truss rod round out the setup essentials.
Tone comes from a matched set of Schecter Diamond Plus humbuckers, wired to a simple volume/tone/3-way switch layout that gets out of the way and lets you play. The Schecter Custom Hardtail bridge feeds strings through the body for added sustain and tuning stability, finished off in black chrome hardware with metal knurled knobs. Schecter tuners keep things in tune, and the guitar ships strung with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 7-string strings (.010-.056).
